Operations Director

Southern California Youth Ultimate (“SCYU”) is looking for a youth coordinator for the Los Angeles Area. Our Youth Operations Director (“YOD”) will be responsible for helping coordinate all of SCYU’s programs including, but not limited to, Learn-to-Play, GUM, Youth Tournaments/Leagues, and Youth Club Championships. The YOD will work closely with California Ultimate for overseeing and directing youth outreach efforts to diversify and enhance SCYU’s community – with a particular emphasis on underserved communities.

The YOD will report to the SCYU board. They will work along with coaches, Athletic Directors (“ADs”), parents, teachers, volunteers, and LAOUT’s Youth Liason.

This is a part-time position. Much of the work performed by the YOD will be done via email and phone calls, allowing for a flexible daily schedule and work location(s). The YOD is expected to be on site at a majority of youth events – weekend and early evening availability will often be required. Candidates must have access to reliable transportation in order to attend and oversee youth programs in the LA region. Candidates must be able to obtain Chaperone/Coach status through USAU (including active NCSI background check + SafeSport and Head-Up Concussion Training certifications; reimbursable expenses if hired).
